All ESPRIT staff keep their own immunizations up-to-date.

Please keep your child at home in the following situations:

  • The have diarrhea or are vomiting
  • They have a communicable disease and/or rash
  • They do not have the energy to keep up with the ESPRIT activities
  • They have lice.

Please notify ESPRIT Daycare if your child has a communicable disease so that we can inform other parents and the Gibsons Health Unit.

Inclusive Care for Growing Minds

ESPRIT Daycare is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children, families, and staff. ESPRIT is committed to inclusion where children of all abilities are able to participate meaningfully in all aspects of the child care program.

At ESPRIT we value the unique differences that make us individuals, including race, ethnicity, culture, gender, socioeconomic levels, range of abilities and physical or health care needs. ESPRIT welcomes First Nation, Inuit and Metis families. Our staff are trained in cultural safety and anticolonial care.

ESPRIT recognizes that quality, affordable childcare is a key factor in poverty reduction in our community.

We believe every child is unique and deserves to be treated with care and respect. We are dedicated to providing an environment that fosters positive emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development for all children, and which celebrates their background and abilities.

ESPRIT collaborates with various external supports and services, including the Infant Development Program and Supported Child Development Program, to provide families with access to:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech language pathology
  • Additional supports as needed.

ESPRIT also works with Childcare Resource and Referral, Sunshine Coast Community Social Service, and School District 46.
